My name is Sandra Beatty and I reside in Louisburg, NC. We have a 27yr old daughter with mild MR. She isgetting frantic at wanting to be married in the temple as she has seen her two older sisters do. I need help wondering if there are other parents out there with children with intelectual diabilities that have the same aspirations and wonder if this is even a possibilty for her. What to do when they turn 18

We have an 18 year old niece with MR who has lived with us for the last 4 years. She loved going to YW and is now being forced to either go to YSA, which she's not ready to attend or RS, which isn't appropriate either. She is very high functioning with regards to living skills, but is very naive, and inappropriately overly friendly. What did you do when your daughter was that age?
