About LDS Ability

This site was created to increase awareness and understanding of disabilities in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I have gathered a few resources that have been helpful to me in the hope that it might be helpful to you as well.

My name is Christopher Phillips and I have two younger brothers were born with Down syndrome. I been involved with a number of disability advocacy groups and worked as a special educator in both the public school system and the Church Educational System.

There is tremendous work being done in increasing awareness of disability issues across all religious traditions. You can find some of those resources on Faith Ability which was created along with this site.
